Day 4- Sublime
Ok, I’m gonna try to take this in a new direction with a great ska punk band from the 90s- sublime.  With a horns section along with guitar solos this three piece group of stoners really set the bar for all ska punk bands.  It’s a crying shame that their front-man Bradley Bowell OD’d about 15 years ago although it was bound to happen sooner or later. What I...

Day 3- Breaking Benjamin
Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorite bands.  They’re alternative with a very ambient sound, some heavy guitar and haunting vocals.  They’ve released 4 albums so far- Their debut “Saturate” is probably their overall best.  It’s hard hitting and consistent.  Their next was “We Are Not Alone” which is the same general idea with some heavy breakdowns and...

Day 2- Incubus
Incubus has been around for a while and has a very distinct sound.  Most of their songs are very focused on lyrics and singing with nice guitar and drums solidly backing it.  One of their first albums “S.C.I.E.N.C.E” has some pretty intense stuff on it but they’ve calmed down over the years.  My favorite album of theirs has to be “A Crow Left of the Murder” which...

New Developments
I’ve decided to post a band a day from now on.  I feel it’s selfish to keep music to oneself, it must be shared.  Shout-out to my first followers, rabbiteen and noloiteringonthemidnightwire! Thanks so much! Now brace yourselves for a magical journey of sound

Day 1- Bloc Party
Alright, let’s start this off with the indiest of the indie- a band called Bloc Party.  I don’t really listen to tons of indie but i really enjoy these guys.  I’ll put some of their videos up after I’m done writing this (i really have no idea how this works).  Anyways they have 3 albums- Silent Alarm, A Weekend in the City and Intimacy.  Silent Alarm is probably their best...

Spreadin the love
So heres the deal- I’m going to post a review of a band along with a link to a song or two of theirs whenever i feel like it.  I’ll try to cover as many genres as possible and if people actually read this, I’ll find out what you guys like and what sort of stuff i should post in the future.  I probably have a bit under a thousand artists in my itunes so it should be fun.
