Creatheist's Corner
Asking Alexandria- a headbanger’s delight

Imagine Enter Shikari but with less techno and more hardcore.

I feel like I’ve already posted about them before but I just kind of got into them again and I can’t find my old one so whatever.

Asking Alexandria bust out some heavy shit with palm mutes aplenty and “harmonizing” simultaneous low and high screams.

Their music is over the top in every way and their debut album “Stand Up and Scream”. The breakdowns are wonderfully gratuitous, the occasional techno nuance seems horribly called for and songs often become so horribly intense that they have you going “wow, they WOULD”.

Now, they’re not my favorite band (all British roots aside, they’re no Enter Shikari but then again who is…) and I can’t even listen to their album all the way through (eventually it becomes overwhelming) but there are a few songs that are really worth listening to.

Alerion - “A taste of things to come”

The Final Episode - “Breakdown madness”

A Candlelit Dinner With Inamorta - “Flailtastic beginning”

A Prophecy - “Completely unprecedented finale”

The rest of the album is fairly repetitive but what do I know, check it out if you like what you hear and if you don’t, I’m sure I’ll post something you do like soon.

Happy headbanging!
